Bandi raps KCR for splurging on decennial celebrations
HYDERABAD: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay criticised the BRS government for wasting public money on Telangana Formation Day celebrations. To divert the attention of people from the failures of his government, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had planned the extravaganza, he alleged.
Sanjay was speaking after laying the foundation stone for developmental works in Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency, which he represents, on Friday.
Addressing a press conference later, he said that political leaders who had tried to defeat President Draupadi Murmu in the presidential elections were shedding crocodile tears over her not being invited to the inauguration of the new Parliament House building.
Shifting focus to the BRS, he said the government had failed to release compensation for crop damage but was spending crores on the decennial celebrations, he said.
Sanjay wanted to know why the state government had failed to complete 2BHK houses. The state government is not in a position to pay salaries to the employees on the first day of the month, he said. Singareni and Discoms incurred huge losses due to the government’s inept administration, he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government did not spare any corrupt leaders, he said.
Refuting allegations of bribes from the granite industry in Karimnagar, he said, “I am ready to swear under oath in any temple over the bribe charges. Chandrashekar Rao ordered an intelligence inquiry into my financial transactions but found nothing against me.”
He called upon party leaders and cadre to make a grand success of Saturday’s ‘unemployed youth march’ in Khammam.
