Avinash says he is not guilty
Kurnool: Praja Shanthi founder K.A. Paul visited the private hospital where Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy is currently stationed, and later quoted the senior YSRC leader as saying he had not committed any offence.
During his visit, Paul said he enquired about the health condition of Srilakshmi, Avinash’s mother undergoing treatment there.
Paul averred that everyone is “considered innocent until proven guilty” and expressed concern that Avinash was being “portrayed as a criminal” even as he was “cooperating” with the CBI investigation.
Paul said he was having a longstanding connection with the YS family. He recalled his participation in an evangelical meeting in Pulivendula in 1980, when he interacted with various family members. He prayed for Srilakshmi's good health and for Avinash to find mental strength during these challenging times.
In a health bulletin on Thursday, the hospital said Avinash's mother showed significant progress over the past three days. “Her vomiting has subsided. An ultrasound of her abdomen did not reveal any significant issues. Her oral intake has improved and the inotropes were discontinued on Wednesday.”
“Her vitals are stable, and plans are being made to shift her to a room and initiate ambulation soon. Additionally, an elective coronary intervention is being planned for her,” it said.
