Subramanian Swamy says Rahul Gandhi with special friend'
Soon Congress working committee can be held in Tihar
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Subramanian Swamy, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP, has alleged that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was spending time with a 'special friend' in London now. Addressing reporters at the Kesari Memorial Hall here on Saturday, he demanded to know how many passports Mr. Gandhi has and said that these days Mr. Gandhi spends time abroad and not at Kumarakom like in 2004, where he had come with his Colombian girl friend.
He also did not spare Robert Vadra, husband of Priyanka Gandhi, who had called him earlier as an 'attention seeker,' 'deplorable' and also as a 'classist' over his comment that ministers who wear a coat and tie look like waiters. He alleged that soon the Congress working committee can be held in Tihar jail due to the corruption cases against the UPA leaders.
Mr P. Chidambaram and his entire family will go to jail in the Aircel case, Mr. Swamy said and alleged that Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor was aware of who killed his wife Sunanda Pushkar. He also attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and asked him how he had got admission at IIT Kharagpur. He had sought an RTI reply on Mr. Kejriwal's admission details, which were not available.
He clarified that he had not targeted union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely when he attacked RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan. In reply to a question if he has lost the plot against Aravind Subramanian, the current chief economic adviser, and Shaktikanta Das, economic affairs secretary, Swamy said he had made his points clear and had nothing more to add. Later, Mr Swamy attended the 41st anniversary of the Emergency organised by the Association of Emergency Victims in the city.
