THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan who has been keeping aloof from the media has sent a letter to party workers promising to throw out “remaining parasites”. The open letter from his hospital bed says some flourishing under the shadow of power were expelled. BJP being a democratic party, he says, has to follow certain procedures and that some parasites were completely weeded out the moment they came to the notice.

“Unfortunately there is propaganda that all the leaders in the Kerala BJP are involved in the medical college scam when it has been an isolated incident. This is not a scam and does not have any link with the BJP or the Union government. None has received any favour from the accused,” he said. He also warned the members against falling into the trap and urged them to take an oath that they would never betray the party for selfish reasons. He dismissed the allegation that there have been discrepancies in election fund utilisation as baseless.
