CM lacks moral values to address babus: YSRC
The man responsible for this sorry state of affairs addressing IAS trainees is ridiculous, he said.
Vijayawada: The YSRC has criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, saying he lacks moral values to address senior IAS officers.
Speaking to the media on Monday, YSRC MP and former IAS officer P. Varaprasada Rao said Chandrababu Naidu’s address to IAS officers looks ridiculous as nowhere in the country are IAS officers are reduced to subordinates to party functionaries as is being done in Andhra Pradesh in the name of Janmabhoomi committees and wings of collectors.
Terming the visit of Chandrababu Naidu to LBS National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, as ironic and paradoxical, the YSRC MP said Chandrababu Naidu was showing scant respect to IAS officers back home with the Janmabhoomi committee superseding the powers of collectors and other officials.
The district collectors do not have any say in Andhra Pradesh. The man responsible for this sorry state of affairs addressing IAS trainees is ridiculous, he said.
Varaprasad Rao, a former IAS officer who worked with Tamil Nadu CMs J. Jayalalithaa and M. Karuna-nidhi, said Mr Naidu has no moral right to preach when he is not practicing. Under Mr Naidu, the CMO has become an extra-constitutional entity and secretaries and even the Chief Secretary have no say in any major issue. The collector’s office is also being misused by the Naidu government, he said.
