AP Legislative Council passes two government bills, including Aadhar Bill
AP Special Security Group bill and AP Aadhaar bill 2023 were passed unanimously
VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council passed two government bills on the third day of its current session.
Home minister Taneti Vanitha moved the first bill with the title, ‘Andhra Pradesh Special Security Group Bill, 2023’ with its objective to provide security cover to the Chief Minister and his family members and it was passed unanimously.
Industries minister Gudivada Amarnath moved the second bill with the title, ‘Andhra Pradesh Aadhaar (targeted delivery of financial and other subsidies, benefits and services) bill, 2023 explaining the need for Aadhaar registration by the people for delivery of welfare benefits and for preparation of schemes to provide various services to the people.
He said AP had 5.56 crore Aadhaar registrations. The bill was passed unanimously.
Both the bills were already passed in the Assembly.
