KAKINADA: The state president of Telugu Desam, K. Atchannaidu, has said the AP CID posed 33 questions to party leader Chandrababu Naidu during their custodial questioning at the central jail, but all these questions were not “relevant and not proper.”

Chandrababu’s wife Bhuvaneswari, his daughter-in-law Brahmani, and Atchannaidu called on the jailed TD chief for 40 minutes at the central jail on Monday.

Later, Acchannaidu told the media that Naidu had given clear answers to all the questions the CID asked him.

After taking legal opinion, the TD would give answers for the 33 questions and TD would also verify the 400 pages of the Remand report and give a fitting reply to it, he said.

He alleged that the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu was totally vindictive in nature.

“If anybody lodges or books a case against another person, proper evidence or a small clue should be produced before the court, but the CID is struggling to show any evidence in the case.”

He said the CID posed questions to Chandrababu Naidu, like why he supervised the project, why he spoke about the skill development to a particular officer and the like.

He said Jagan Mohan Reddy experienced 16 months in jail and he wanted to send Chandrababu to jail for some time, though Babu did not commit any mistake.

Atchannaidu expressed fears about the health, safety, and security of Chandrababu and said that mosquitoes were giving trouble to him in jail.

However, he said, Chandrababu Naidu told him to fight against the government to bring good days to the state and the people. “Lokesh is in New Delhi to explain the injustice done to Chandrababu and the situation in the state to the national media and national leaders.”
