Bhuvaneswari Accuses YSRC Govt of Foisting False Cases, Neglecting Development of AP
Tirupati: Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of jailed Telugu Desam (TD) chief Chandrababu Naidu, has alleged that the YSRC government is foisting false cases on her husband and son Nara Lokesh, instead of prioritising the development of Andhra Pradesh.
She was addressing her maiden public meeting on the inaugural day of the Nijam Gelavali (truth should prevail) yatra in Agarala village of Chandragiri constituency, Tirupati district, on Wednesday.
She raised questions about the state administration's efficacy and highlighted the “absence” of concrete efforts for the state's progress. “My presence at this public meeting is not to engage in politics but to champion the 'Nijam Gelavali' cause that goes beyond my personal interests. This is a fight for Andhra Pradesh, for its children, and for their future,” she said.
Accusing the YSRC government of foisting false cases against Chandrababu, she stated, "Be it the Skill case, the Amaravati Inner Ring Road case, or the Fibre Grid case, the YSRC government has consistently failed to produce evidence against Chandrababu.”
“Instead, they have filed one false case after another, seemingly aimed at harassing him,” she said.
Bhuvaneswari recounted the hardships her husband endured during his arrest and confinement for the last 47 days, despite the “ack of concrete evidence” against him.
“In the Skill development case it was initially claimed there was a corruption of Rs. 3,000 crore, which was later brought down to Rs. 370 crore, and now to Rs. 27 crore,” she said.
“Is there any meaning in these cases foisted on Chandrababu? Except registering case after case, is there any evidence on the money trail in the case,” she asked and lamented that the YSRC government's focus seemed to be on prosecuting Naidu rather than promoting AP’s development, attracting investments, or creating job opportunities for the people.
Bhuvaneswari said the YSRC government's tactics was to weaken Naidu mentally and physically by imprisoning him, with the aim of undermining the Telugu Desam party ahead of the elections. “However, they underestimated Chandrababu’s resilience.”
"The people have started coming out in support of Chandrababu. This shows he still enjoys support from all sections of the society," Bhuvaneswari asserted.
She also accused the YSRC of attempting to create obstacles in Lokesh's 'Yuvagalam' padayatra and filing false cases against Telugu Desam supporters who dared to question them.
Before kickstarting the Nijam Gelavali programme, Bhuvaneswari paid her respects to her father, former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao, by offering flowers at his statue in Naravaripalle. She met the grieving families of TD supporters, A. Praveen Reddy and K. Chinnabba Naidu, providing each of them with a financial assistance of Rs. 3 lakh.
