Jana Sena - BJP Alliance Is On, List Shortly
Hyderabad: An alliance between the Jana Sena and the BJP has been finalised for the November 30 Telangana state polls but seat sharing is not finalised, sources said, after Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan and senior party leader Nadendla Manohar met Union home minister Amit Shah, in the presence of BJP’s Telangana president G. Kishan Reddy, on Wednesday.
“It has been decided to contest together but sharing of seats will be decided later. We will sit again around November 1 with the election committee and take a decision on it,” said K. Lakshman, national president of BJP’s OBC morcha.
In the discussions, Pawan Kalyan is set to have sought seats not only in districts bordering Andhra Pradesh, but also in constituencies on the outskirts of Hyderabad, such as Serilingampally and Kukatpally.
The Jana Sena is reported to have pitched the idea by assuring vote transfer to the BJP.
Sources say the issue of incarceration of TD leader Chandrababu Naidu was also discussed in the meeting, although further details were not available.
