Congress encourages Naxalism: Amit Shah
He said these Maoists and Naxalites had killed many youth in Telangana for differing from them.
ADILABAD: BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday accused the Congress of “encouraging urban Maoism”. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi was supported by the Maoists and “urban Naxalites” arrested recently by the BJP government in Maharashtra.
The BJP national president was speaking at a public meeting in Nirmal in support of the BJP candidates contesting the three seats here - Rama Devi from Mudhole, Swarna Reddy from Nirmal and Satla Ashok from Khanapur.
He said these Maoists and Naxalites had killed many youth in Telangana for differing from them. He claimed that the Congress party under the leadership of “Rahul Baba” has failed to come to power wherever it has contested and added that the party will soon disappear from the country and Communist parties from the world.
He declared that the Maoists hiding in villages will be arrested and sent to jail if the BJP comes to power in the state.
He claimed that Chief Minister Rao called for early elections because he was afraid of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi and in the interest of his own family members, so he could make his daughter and son Chief Ministers and waste the people’s money.
Mr Shah promised Telangana would become a model state in five years if the people bring in a BJP government in the state. He said Mr Rao had no time to meet the families of the victims of the Kondagattu incident “but he has time to eat biryani with Owaisi, his brother.”
Turning to his favourite topic, he said, “I have been hearing the name of Nirmal since 2012, but for the first time I have arrived in Nirmal town. Nirmal is the place where MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi insulted the Hindu gods and goddesses in his speech in the past.”
Mr Shah said there is a case against Akbaruddin Owaisi, but the TRS government did not issue the ‘challan’ against Mr Owaisi; Mr Rao has time to issue the challan against Akabaruddin Owaisi before the elections if he has the guts to do so.
He said Mr Rao had promised to make a Dalit the first Chief Minister of Telangana but could not do so and asked him to say whether he will make a Dalit the CM this time if his party comes to power.
He said only Rs 13,700 crore has been utilised in the state budget out of the proposed Rs 50,000 core in five years for the welfare of Dalits in the state.
