K Chandrasekhar Rao confident of winning 103 seats
Mr RAo said that a new survey predicted that the the TRS would win 103 to 106 seats.
HYDERABAD: Telangana state caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday launched a stinging attack on UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for criticising the TRS government at her Medchal public meeting.
“Quli Qutub Shah constructed Hyderabad more than 400 years ago. If Naidu claims to have constructed Hyderabad, he must be a contemporary of Quli Qutub Shah.”
Targeting the Congress, Mr Rao said the people had achieved Telangana statehood through 14 years of struggle and it was not due to the charity of the Congress or any other political party.
He asked why Mrs Gandhi was so heart-broken for Telangana? “Is it because suitcases from Gandhi Bhavan to Delhi have stopped,” he asked. He asked whether Mrs Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi could not see the development in the state and also how farmer suicides had decreased.
Maintaining that cheating was the motive of the Congress, he demanded that Mr Rahul Gandhi enter the state only after fulfilling promises and benefits that were announced for Telangana during bifurcation.
Stating that it was a shame on the part of the Congress for announcing a package for AP from the soil of Telangana state, he challenged Mr Rahul Gandhi to announce the package for Telangana before entering the state. He cautioned the Congress leaders regarding the amounts which they had allegedly swindled during the Congress rule.
Mr RAo said that a new survey predicted that the the TRS would win 103 to 106 seats.
Stating that these were crucial elections for Telangana, he appealed to the people not to get confused with false promises and also not to succumb to the pressure of political parties while casting their vote.
