Dasu seeks Tikait's support in upcoming nationwide protests for BCs
Tikait and his team were in Hyderabad to take part in the Maha Dharna' organised at city's Dharna Chowk
National BC Welfare Association National Working President Suresh Dasu congratulated Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait and his team, who were in Hyderabad to take part in the ‘Maha Dharna’ organised at city’s Dharna Chowk on Tuesday. Dasu asked Tikait team to support the nationwide movements that NBCWA is going to organise against the injustice being done to BCs in the country.
Dasu further asked Tikait to support them in Delhi in the fight for the caste wise census in 2021 Enumeration, reservation for BCs in the legislatures and job reservations for BCs in the private sector in the event of privatization of all public sector enterprises by the Centre.
In a press release issued shortly after, Dasu said that both he and Tikayat “...are of the view that the Modi government has taken a self-examination and taken precautionary measures to prevent further damage as the people have allotted only one Parliament and seven Assembly seats to the BJP in the three recent Lok Sabha and 30 Assembly seats in the recent elections in 13 states.”
At the event organised by All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) to mark the anniversary of the long protest against India’s three controversial farm laws, Tikait said the central and state governments should respect the sufferings and aspirations of the people, otherwise, the parties would disappear from the 'prajakshetra' (Democracy).
