Visakhapatnam: MLC Vamsi Krishna Yadav, a prominent Yadava leader, is poised to quit YSRC and join Jana Sena, party sources confirmed. He will reportedly make the official switch, alongside a former YSRC corporator, in the presence of Pawan Kalyan and Nadendla Manohar at the Jana Sena office on Wednesday.

Vamsi Krishna, known for his controversies, is set to contest the Gajuwaka assembly seat, previously fought by Pawan Kalyan himself in 2019. This shift comes after several instances of YSRC denying him desired positions, including the Visakhapatnam East ticket and the mayor's post. While offered Gajuwaka earlier, Vamsi Krishna reportedly declined, unwilling to face TD's Palla Srinivasa Rao.

He previously contested unsuccessfully from the East constituency twice, once under PRP in 2009 and again with YSRC in 2014. His decision to join Jana Sena and target Gajuwaka adds another intriguing layer to the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections.
