Kottayam: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday alleged that the air strikes conducted by India against Pakistan ahead of the Lok Sabha elections were intended to sabotage the poll process by triggering a war with Pakistan.
He was speaking during a function at a reception was accorded to Kerala Samrakshana Yathra at Nedumkandom.
Mr Balakrishnan added that by invoking hatred towards Muslims the RSS and the BJP are trying to create communal polarisation in the country.
The CPM state secretary said the BJP government, instead of solving the Kashmir issue is trying to target Kashmiris. He demanded that Kashmiris be integrated fully with the country.
The CPM state secretary said the BJP and RSS were apprehensive of a poll loss are trying to create a war like situation ahead of polls.
