Security on Telangana border up to guard barrages

Adilabad: The TS government is likely to deploy a huge police force along the rivers Pranahitha and Godavari on the state borders it shares with Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh as it suspects threat to the construction works of proposed barrages from Maoists.

Already, police combing has intensified along the rivers Pranahita and Godavari in North Telangana. Even on Saturday, Maoist presence was found on the state borders.

Police movement has increased along the above two rivers much before the beginning of the construction works of barrages on these rivers.

The police force will be deployed at the project sites of Thummidihatti and Medigadda and Thupakula Gudem in Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal districts.
