AP BJP plan to boost cadre ahead of 2019 elections
Says party would focus on reviving booth-level committees.
Anantapur: BJP state in-charge and UP minister Siddarth Nath Singh stressed the need to strengthen the party at grassroot level in the state, particularly in Rayalaseema for the 2019 elections.
He was speaking at a state-level meeting with the party's executive members at the RDT Stadium here on Sunday.
State unit president K. Haribabu, ministers Kamineni Srinivasa Rao, Manikyala Rao and state BJP leaders participated in the meeting.
Mr Singh said the people of the country were praising the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and not a single case of corruption had been reported in three years.
Referring to the grand victory of BJP in UP and other states, Mr Singh said the people were clear about their decision in voting for a corruption-free government.
Mr Singh said the party position in AP must be improved on the lines Uttar Pradesh and other states where the Congress and other regional parties were completely sidelined.
Mr Haribabu said the party would concentrate on strengthening of booth level committees. There were more than 46,000 booth level committees in the state, he said.
Earlier, Dr Kamineni Srinivas launched a programme of ABVP at SK Varsity premises here.
Speaking to the students, he said they should work with honesty and discipline to succeed in life.
