Pawan Kalyan promises 3 lakh jobs in 6 months
Kalyan was addressing a gathering during a road show at Nellore on Tuesday.
Nellore: Jana Sena chief Mr Pawan Kalyan said that if he came to power, he would name welfare schemes after Sri Potti Sriramulu and former CPM leader late Puchalapalli Sundaraiah in recognition of their sacrifices.
Mr Kalyan was addressing a gathering during a road show at Nellore on Tuesday. He faulted the Telugu Desam Government for naming the schemes after Chandrababu, Lokesh, NTR and other leaders. Stressing that they were not giving their own property or revenue from their heritage towards the welfare schemes for the people, he said that the schemes were being implemented with public money and they should remember that.
Mr Kalyan promised to create three lakh jobs in the first six months besides giving 10 cylinders of gas free of cost per annum, per family, and transfer of money up to `3,500 per month to the poor for their daily needs after his party came to power.
Taking objection to Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stand that he would do anything for the people only if they elected him as Chief Minister, Mr Kalyan said that he wouldn’t postpone activities like Mr Reddy while pointing to several issues that he had already resolved by taking them up with the Government.
The hero turned politician took potshots against Nellore city legislator Anilkumar Yadav and rural legislator Mr Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for their alleged involvement in cricket betting.
He asked local voters to elect people who were committed to serve them rather than those who spent their time betting or being involved in anti social activities.
