Varla asks Jagan to seek CBI probe on Visakha MP's family members kidnap

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam politburo member Varla Ramaiah demanded that the chief minister seek a CBI probe into the kidnap of Visakhapatnam MP Satyanarayana’s family members. “There was a big conspiracy behind it,” he said.

Speaking to the media at the party headquarters on Monday, the TD leader said the issue came to the surface two days later and wondered why the MP failed to alert the police in time and why Union home minister Amit Shah also failed to respond.

He also asked as to why the state Governor did not comment on the issue.

The TD leader asked the CM why he did not comment on the issue and failed to visit the family so far. “Fact is that the auditor who was kidnapped was close to the CM,” he said.

He said that when the Visakhapatnam MP wanted to shift his business activities to Hyderabad following the kidnap episode, he was allegedly forced to retract his words.
