Palla should apologise to defected MLAs, CM: Muttireddy
WARANGAL: Even as the Congress MLAs who had defected to the ruling BRS are silent with the ‘derogatory’ remarks made by BRS MLC Palla Rajeswhar Reddy, his own party MLA Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy of Jangaon on Saturday demanded he apologize for making invective comments against the decision of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He was speaking at a press meet in Jangaon on Saturday.
It is to be noted here that BRS chief KCR has kept the party ticket allotment for the Jangaon segment on hold as he did not announce the candidate in the first list. Meanwhile, two party MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Pochampally Srinivas Reddy have been competing for the ticket from the constituency being represented by Yadagiri Reddy, which raised political heat in Jangaon.
Two days ago, addressing a party meeting at his native Shodashapalli village in Jangaon district, Rajeshwar Reddy had said that in case the 12 Congress MLAs had not joined the BRS, "they would have barked like dogs at the ruling party for no reason. It is to hush them that KCR took them into BRS and turned them into cats," he remarked.
“Chief Minister KCR took the decision in the best interest of Telangana state, but Rajeshwar Reddy distorted the intention of the BRS chief and tried to malign the image of the party,” he said.
The MLC must withdraw his words and apologize to the defected MLAs from Congress to BRS and the Chief Minister in public, he demanded.
