People's front can't shake TRS, says KT Rama Rao

He said if Mr Rao became the Chief Minister again he would continue to see that there was communal harmony.

Hyderabad: Caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday said that in order to fight caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, four parties had formed an alliance but even so the victory of the TRS was certain. “The wining of TRS and KCR becoming Chief Minister again is for sure,” he said.

Speaking at a meeting of minorities held at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, he said that all sections of people should support the TRS for the development of Telangana state. He said if Mr Rao became the Chief Minister again he would continue to see that there was communal harmony.

He admitted that there were many apprehensions when Telangana state was formed but the four-and-half years of the TRS government had removed all those. He said in the industrial sector, the TRS government had achieved wonderful results. TS topped the country in the law and order, he added. 

Mr Rama rao said members of the Sikh community were sacrificing their lives for the country. In that context, he said that TRS had made a Sikh the mayor of Karimnagar city. He emphasised that in the state of Telangana, the  TRS was the only party to do this.
