Nallakannu should guide war against communalism: CM Stalin

Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin called upon veteran Communist leader R Nallakannu to continue guiding them in their efforts to put an end to communal rule in the country and also in providing the bulwark for the DMK-led government in the State, which has been formed under the Secular Progressive Alliance.

Speaking at the celebrations of the 98th birthday of Nallakannu, who has already been presented with the State government’s annual ‘Thagaisal’ Award recognizing an outstanding person of exemplary character, on Monday, Stalin said the Communist leader had never slipped up on his principles.

By Nallakannu receiving the ‘Thagaisal Award,’ the award had gained significance and value, Stalin praised for continuing his service to society even at a ripe old age.

In his Twitter message, Stalin Nallakannu had been fighting communal forces to save India since the time of British rule and said that his name was synonymous with hard work and a definition for hard work and sacrifice.
