Rahul Gandhi, Kharge to Review AP Party Affairs in Delhi Today
VIJAYAWADA: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge would hold a meeting in Delhi on Wednesday with party leaders from Andhra Pradesh to discuss the poll preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
APCC president and former MLC Gidugu Rudra Raju said Kharge along with Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary KC Venugopal and others would meet the AP leaders. Raju and the newly appointed state in-charge Manickam Tagore would be present in the meeting at the party headquarters from 10am.
Rudra Raju alleged that crores of rupees from the illegal land, sand and liquor mafia were reaching the YSRC leaders.
“Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy cheated the people in the name of prohibition of alcohol in the state. Is PM Modi not seeing this cheating,” Raju asked.
He said the video about the tahsildar of Madakasira exposed the corruption in the government offices under the Jagan rule. The Congress party never supported such corruption, he said.
Rudra Raju condemned social media reports citing YS Sharmila as the new APCC chief. He affirmed that he would, however, be bound by the decision of the AICC.
