Kisan Congress to be held in Hyderabad tomorrow

These results are giving the Congress some hope for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Local-level Congress leaders who contested in the panchayat elections proved in this first phase that they are stronger than state level leaders who lost so disastrously in the Assembly elections last month.

Hyderabad: The Kisan Congress of South Indian states will be meeting in Hyderabad on January 29 to discuss about future agricultural polices of the Congress.

Speakers at the summit will also discuss about farmer suicides and other crises in the agriculture sector.

Speaking to media persons, national vice-president of Kisan Congress Kodanda Reddy said, “The participants will discuss about the welfare of farmers in the country. Along with the AICC Kisan Congress chairman Nana Patel, many leaders from Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu will attend the meeting. The TPCC leaders will also take part in the meeting.”
