Mallika Sarabhai urges people to take 5 issues to their MLA
The session was hosted by principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan.
Hyderabad: The three-day Hyderabad Literary Festival ended on Sunday with a thought-provoking speech by Mallika Sarabhai, a social activist and Indian classical dancer, who asked people to select five main issues concerning to their area and approach their MLA.
The session was hosted by principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan.
Asking people to speak up about their issues, Ms Sarabhai said, “All our icons are false icons. Success has become a brand image building exercise. Why let brand managers and advertisers decide what is good. We have become despicable and rave. Together and individually, now we need to speak up.”
About social media, she said that even though it had a lot of benefits, people could completely lose the sense of reality, especially since “people have become robots”.
