Visakhapatnam: Duvvada Srinivas, MLC from Srikakulam, slammed TD national general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh for launching a padayatra without any reason and aim.

Speaking to reporters in Srikakulam on Friday, the MLC said Lokesh should tell the people why he was conducting the padayatra and for whom.

Stating that he doesn’t deserve to organise such a programme, Srinivas said Lokesh should spell out who would be the chief minister.

He asked whether it would be him (Lokesh), Pawan Kalyan or his father Chandrababu Naidu the next chief minister. People are simply confused, the MLC said.

He said Jagan Mohan Reddy became chief minister after walking 3,400 kilometres, and Lokesh was aping him by taking out a similar programme.

“Lokesh is daydreaming about becoming chief minister by walking miles,” said Srinivas.

Stressing that the Chief Minister was still enjoying popularity, the MLC said the opposition parties, unable to face Jagan Mohan Reddy in the next elections, were coming in groups with ulterior motives.
