N Chandrababu Naidu scores more than YSRC chief
Another officer said that the leader of the Opposition was unable to match the Chief Minister's strengths, to the disadvantage of the YSRC.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu scores over Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as an administrator and as a consistent politician, say bureaucrats. However, they feel that the scenario may change after the induction of young leader Lokesh into the Cabinet.
They say that seniors such as Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Kinjarapu Atchannaidu will anticipate a continuance of the current protocol in the party and in the government, even after the Cabinet reshuffle. The bureaucrats shared their observations in an interesting internal conversation held at the Assembly lobby during the morning session on Monday.
The discussion kicked off with an IAS officer trying to analyse the Chief Minister’s uncompromising administrative skills. Another bureaucrat pitched in by saying that Nara Lokesh would continue his legacy.
Another officer said that the leader of the Opposition was unable to match the Chief Minister’s strengths, to the disadvantage of the YSRC.
“However, once Lokesh comes into the picture, in the form of an MLC or a Minister, people will start comparing Jagan Mohan Reddy and Lokesh,” he explained.
Another senior officer was of the opinion that people’s expectations were very high, he anticipated that Lokesh’s presence and timing in addressing issues would be areas of major concern for TD in the days to come.
The bureaucrats also lauded Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for doing his homework and for being prepared for the subject of discussion. “He has become a seasoned politician and has given up his irritating attitude, which can be observed in the present sessions,” a mid-level bureaucrat said. He added that Jaganmohan Reddy would become a mature leader in the coming sessions, if he continued at his current pace. However, another bureaucrat said that Jaganmohan Reddy’s repeated proclamations, claiming that he would be the next Chief Minister, sent the wrong signals to people, and to YSRC sympathisers as well.
