TTV Dhinakaran promises 57K houses, gyms, hospital

The houses, it was explained, was for those who had petitioned Jayalalithaa seeking her help in providing habitations for them.

Chennai: The AIADMK Amma faction led by its deputy general secretary T. T. V. Dinakaran released its manifesto for the RK Nagar bypoll on Monday.  It promised to provide houses to 57,000 persons, establish a super-specialty hospital, mobile hospitals and fish markets in the constituency.

The manifesto was released at a function held at the AIADMK headquarters here by senior party leader Panruti S. Ramachandran and the first copy was received by AIADMK headquarters secretary and Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami in the presence of Dhinakaran, AIADMK Amma candidate for the bypoll in the constituency and senior party functionaries.

The houses, it was explained, was for those who had petitioned Jayalalithaa seeking her help in providing habitations for them. Listing some features of the manifesto, Dhinakaran said a multi-super specialty hospital at Tondiarpet besides 10 mobile hospitals in RK Nagar constituency would be set up. “A gymnasium and free training centres for developing soft skills will also be established in the constituency. Job fairs for unemployed youth will be conducted regularly. A new fish market will be set up. We will also continue those projects as announced by Amma (late CM J. Jayalalithaa),” he told reporters.

On the agitation by state farmers association in New Delhi entering the 14th day on Monday, Palanisami said a team led by Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai along with representatives of the farmers association had already met senior Union ministers including finance Minister Arun Jaitley. “This government is for the welfare of the farmers,” Mr Palanisami said.
