I am the only MP who doesn’t own a house, says Pratap Simha
Pratap also highlighted his work for the constituency and the popular schemes of the Narendra Modi government.
Mysuru: BJP candidate for Mysuru Kodagu, Pratap Simha, who was campaigning in Hunsur taluk on Wednesday, claimed that he was the only MP among the 543 in parliament, who did not own a house.
“Tell me which MP has not got a bungalow constructed by ITC and which MP from Mysuru -Kodagu constituency has not taken a commission from ITC?” he demanded while campaigning in Gurupura, where he also highlighted his work for the constituency and the popular schemes of the Narendra Modi government.
“Politicians from different parties come to the people during elections and speak of ideologies, but prepare to distribute liquor bottles and Rs 500 to each voter in a cover two days ahead of the elections ,” he alleged.
Meanwhile, BJP leader, Gho Madhusudan claimed in Mysuru that the nomination papers of Congress candidate for Mysuru- Kodagu, C H Vijayshankar were not genuine and the party would challenge them in the High Court on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters, he also alleged that Mr Vijayshankar had lost his mental balance out of fear of losing the elections as he had forgotten to carry the money that had to be deposited when filing his nomination and minister Sa Ra Mahesh had to step in and pay it.
