Jeevan Reddy says cops harass protesters

Hyderabad: Congress senior MLA T. Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday demanded a judicial probe into alleged police excesses at the Gajwel Assembly segment represented by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He alleged that local TRS leaders were bringing pressure on the police to harass those who were trying to protest the suicide of two sub-inspectors of police at Kukunoorpally. He told mediapersons that there was suspicion that the two police officers had committed suicide due to pressure being piled on them. “Police is booking cases against protesters and sending them to judicial remand, he said.
