Chennai: A day after supporters of AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran demanded that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami should come clear on the issue of party leadership, Lok Sabha deputy speaker M. Thambirdurai said the question of AIADMK leadership should be addressed to the Chief Minister.

He asserted that everyone knew who the 'AIADMK leadership' was and no one had the powers to remove the party's general secretary, in an apparent indication that V.K. Sasikala is the party's leadership.

The AIADMK decided to support the BJP following a request from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said and added that the decision was taken after the advice of the 'AIADMK leadership'. Reacting to a question, he asserted that AIADMK is ruling the state and not BJP.
