TD Developed Vizag, Asserts MLA Ganababu

VISHAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam West MLA P.V.G.R. Naidu, popular as Ganababu, asserted that it is Telugu Desam that ensured the rapid development of Visakhapatnam city.

Addressing a public meeting organised after the Bhavishyattuku Guarantee Chaitanya Yatra on Wednesday, the MLA underlined that the NAD flyover and Kancharapalem underpass had been built during the TD rule. The then government had set up two tahsildar offices for the convenience of the public.

Ganababu declared that TD will return to power in the next elections and introduce important schemes like Ammaku Vandanam and Mahila Shakti.

Former minister Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy said as then chief minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu had spent a week in Visakhapatnam during the Hudhud super-cyclone. He successfully restored normalcy in the city within a few days.

Satyanarayana Murthy pointed out that while TD built houses for the poor over 100 square yards, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced only one-cent land for houses.

TD Mahila president Vangalapudi Anitha charged CM Jagan with pushing the state neck deep into debts. She said due to unemployment, youngsters are getting addicted to drugs and ganja. For families, prices have gone up abnormally, she pointed out.

Former Gajuwaka MLA and Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency president Palla Srinivasa Rao said the present government has burdened every individual in the state under debt.

MLCs Duvvaraopu Rama Rao, Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao, and former MLAs Gandi Babji, Peela Govind Satyanarayana and Kolla Lalitha Kumari were present on the occasion.
