Pulla Rao backs Pavan Kalyan's SCS demand
Mr Pulla Rao said seminars and workshops would be held from September 11 to 15 at Tirupati.
Amaravati: The process of filling the temporary Secretariat Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi continued on Saturday.
Minister for agriculture P. Pulla Rao occupied his chamber in the auspicious muhurat on Saturday in the fourth block of the temporary Secretariat. Refuting allegations of opposition parties about dualism towards Special Category Status (SCS) to AP, Mr Pulla Rao claimed that the Telugu Desam government was trying in all aspects to get SCS and affirmed that the TD will continue its fight with the BJP-led Union government for SCS.
Mr Pulla Rao said that Janasena founder and senior actor K. Pavan Kalyan is the TD’s friend and he demanding SCS is a good thing.
He said that the TD will take a strong decision accordingly if the Union government refuses SCS and the TD will fight till the announcement of SCS. He said that the state government is taking all measures to save the crops with the help of technology. Rain guns, which can provide water to the crops through alternative method, will be supplied to the drought-prone districts at 50 per cent subsidy.
Mr Pulla Rao said that seminars and workshops would be held from September 11 to 15 at Tirupati on organic farming for the promotion of non-pesticide farming to help the farmers.
