Crowd Says Jai Shri Ram, Shah follows
With no signs of the crowd letting up, Shah started his speech with the chant of “Jai Sri Ram†and the crowd responded lustily
Khammam: “Jai Sri Ram, Jai Sri Ram...” The chanting was unrelenting on Sunday late afternoon as Union home minister Amit Shah walked up to the podium to address the party public meeting. Even as Shah was about to start speaking, the crowd kept up the chant.
With no signs of the crowd letting up, Shah started his speech with the chant of “Jai Sri Ram” and the crowd responded lustily. Only then did the gathering quieten down and allow Shah to get on with his speech, in which he referred several times to the Bhadrachalam temple and also to Ramdas, who built the temple and as a result, had to spend 12 years in prison.
The Jai Sri Ram chant also rent the air when former BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar led his speech with it with the crowd yet again joining in with enthusiasm.
