Bharat Bandh total in Khammam, Kothagudem

KHAMMAM: Bharat Bandh organized against the three farm laws by opposition parties evoked good response on Monday. Normal life was hit as activists of political parties did not allow vehicles on the roads while business establishments and educational institutions were closed. RTC buses had few or no takers.
Congress, Telugu Desam, CPI, CPI(M(, Telangana Inti Party, YSRTP and CPI (ML) New Democracy called for the bandh. Many of them took out a rally on Wyra road in Khammam.
No business activity was witnessed in Khammam, Kothagudem, Wyra, Tallada, Bhadrachalam, Manuguru, Madhira, Yellandu and Paloncha towns.
Addressing a rally in Khammam, DCC president Puvvalla Durga Prasad said “People have expressed their solidarity and assured their cooperation. The dangers behind the three farm laws have been understood by all sections”.
Congress Khammam Town Committee president Mahammad Javeed said that the NDA government should roll back the farm laws, which also exposed the nexus between corporate forces and BJP leaders. He said that 612 farmers lost their lives during their struggle in Delhi.
CPI-M district secretary N Nageswara Rao said that farmers, women, youth, farm labourers and employees are opposing the farm acts, which the Centre should repeal immediately.
In Adilabad, the bandh was full while it was partial in some parts of old Adilabad district. TRS leaders and activists did not participate in the bandh.
Adivasi Hakkula Porata Samiti (Thudumdebba) leaders and activists actively participated.
DCC in-charge president Sajid Khan and Thudumdebba district president Godam Ganesh and Purka Bapurao and others participated in the bandh in their respective mandals, including Utnoor, Indravelli, Narnoor and Talamadugu, Gudihathnoor. Left party leaders Bandi Dattatri, Prabhakar and others also participated in the bandh in Adilabad town. Rythu Swarajya Vedika president Sangepu Borranna, Congress senior leader Yakoob Baig and others took part in Indravelli.
Adilabad Parliament Constituency convenor Gullapelli Anand and other senior leaders of TDP participated in in Kagaznagar.
