I will give an example of how Rao cheated Most Backward Castes (MBCs) in Telangana. He set up MBC Corporation and promised to provide Rs 100 Crore every year and disburse loans through it. But not even one loan was disbursed in the past two years, said Dasoju. DC file photo

HYDERABAD:  AICC spokesperson Dr Dasoju Sravan came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for their anti-people measures and misrule.

He led the nationwide Bharat Bandh protest in Khairatabad constituency in Hyderabad on Monday and courted arrest. Dr Sravan demanded that the NDA government immediately repeal the three contentious farm laws and take steps to control inflation.

Alleging that the three farm laws would only benefit the corporates like Adani group, which were trying to monopolise market, and place farmers and consumers at the mercy of corporates, he said adding that Chandrashekar Rao colluded with anti-farmer and anti-poor NDA government on the occasion.

“Farmers and people of Telangana are observing the cheating tactics of both the BJP and the TRS and will teach them a lesson soon," warned Sravan. He, along with CPI, CPM and other party leaders raised slogans against the NDA and the TRS governments and courted arrest.

Congress party Banjara Hills division president Dhanraj Rathod, Jubilee Hills division president Ramesh Katuri, Venkateshwara Colony division president Srinivas Yadav, Youth Congress leader Dinesh, CPI leader Venkataswamy and others took part in the Bharat Bandh protest.
