Naidu accused in four scams: Roja
VIJAYAWADA: While N. Chandrababu Naidu is being presented before the law as a criminal in multiple scams, his wife Bhuvaneswari and daughter-in-law Brahmani were likely involved in the concealment of stolen money, state tourism minister R.K. Roja alleged on Wednesday.
She alleged that “a small thief (Nara Lokesh) is touring the national capital Delhi to save the big thief (Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu).” While Lokesh met the President of India to get Naidu out of prison, “never in the past did the father-son duo meet the President to promote the welfare of AP or its people,” she said.
Speaking to the media on the Assembly premises, Roja asked how Lokesh and other TD leaders could speak as if Naidu was above law. “ Naidu has looted the wealth of the state and the law will take its own course,” she said.
She said Naidu was accused in four scams namely the skill development scam, the Inner Ring road alignment scam, the Fibrenet scam and the Assigned land scam. “Lokesh himself is accused in the Amaravati inner ring road alignment scam.”
“Lokesh is afraid of returning to AP for fear that he will be arrested.”
Referring to the recent claim of Nara Bhuvaneswari that if she sells 2 per cent share of their business, she would get '400 crore, Roja said the CID should probe deep into this claim and take action. She noted that Naidu had just 2 acres of land when he entered politics but his assets were now worth '2 lakh crore, based on his wife’s own statement.”
The tourism minister said the money robbed by Naidu and Lokesh was well managed by Bhuvaneswari and Brahmini. “Now they are trying to make the people believe they are all innocent.”
