TRS takes Chandrababu Naidu to poll body
The EC responded on this complaint and sought a report from AP DGP on this issue immediately.
Hyderabad: The TRS on Saturday complained to the Election Commission that TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had been indulging in blatant distribution of money amounting to nearly Rs 500 crore in Telangana state to defeat the TRS and had roped in hundreds of AP police and intelligence officials in all constituencies.
It complained that Mr Naidu has been using AP DGP’s office in Hyderabad as an ‘adda’ for illegal activities in Telangana state. The EC responded on this complaint and sought a report from AP DGP on this issue immediately.
As evidence, they submitted a video of three AP police personnel caught in Dharmapuri.
TRS MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy met Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar and lodged a complaint against Mr Naidu.
Addressing media at Telangana Bhavan, minister K.T. Rama Rao alleged that AP intelligence ACP M.S.C. Bose had tried to secure the release of AP police personnel caught in Dharmapuri within 30 minutes. “Chandrababu as AP CM has been resorting to blatant misuse of power in Telangana. He is utilising AP police and intelligence wings to hatch conspiracies in Telangana. He is using them to distribute money in Telangana to defeat TRS in the name of holding surveys. Three of AP police personnnel were caught in Dharmapuri and AP intelligence ACP tried to secure their release by calling local police officials over phone within 30 minutes after they were caught," Mr Rama Rao said.
He said TRS has also complained against Mr Naidu for using AP money to publicise TD government schemes in TV channels broadcasting in Telangana state.
