Punjabis have to choose between chaos, order: Manoj Tewari
The leader said, Punjab can ill afford another spell of anarchy followed by a decade of lawlessness and disorder by the Akali-BJP alliance.
Patiala: Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Manish Tewari has asked the Punjabis to make a careful choice between "chaos and anarchy" and "order and good governance" in the February 4 Assembly elections.
"It is the duty of each one of us to make a careful choice lest Punjab slides into chaos and anarchy," he said while interacting with businessmen, lawyers, traders and chartered accountants of the city here last night.
The senior Congress leader said, Punjab can ill afford another spell of anarchy followed by a decade of lawlessness and disorder by the Akali-BJP alliance.
"We all know that the Punjabis have made up their mind for the change but let us ensure that we make the right choice," he said and cautioned people about the consequences of making a wrong choice.
Claiming that the five years of Amarinder Singh's regime in Punjab touched all the sections of the society, he said "be it the farmers, the traders, the industrialists, employees or the professionals, everybody was happy."
Besides, he added, that period ushered in an era of progress and development in Punjab.
"Punjab needs Amarinder now more than it needed him any other time as the state needs to be retrieved and redeemed from chaos, anarchy, lawlessness, economic, financial and agrarian crisis", he said, while adding, "only Amarinder can retrieve and redeem it".
