I know about BJP-Cong ties: HD Kumaraswamy
I don't have to do anything by meeting Mr Amit Shah: Kumaraswamy.
Mysuru: State JD (S) president H D Kumaraswamy sought to turn the tables on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah a day after the Kuruba strongman alleged that he knew where the former chief minister met BJP president Amit Shah to enter into a secret pact ahead of the Assembly polls on May 12, saying he knew of the Congress leader’s “relationship” with the BJP, and how he scuttled state unit president B S Yeddyurappa’s son B Y Vijayendra’s chances of securing a ticket to contest from Varuna constituency.
During an interaction with the media here, Mr Kumaraswamy said: “I don’t have to do anything by meeting Mr Amit Shah. In fact I know his (Mr Siddaramaiah's) relationship with BJP. What did those who accuse us of entering into an internal alliance do in Varuna? I know with whom Mr Siddaramaiah spoke to prevent the party from issuing a ticket to Vijayendra in Varuna. He has ensured that his son (Dr Yatindra) is safe.”
He said “as per intelligence reports it has become evident that JD (S) is ahead of all others, and so Mr Siddaramaiah is in a state of panic. Hence he is repeatedly targeting JD (S).”
He charged “Congress manifesto is total bogus. The promises are nothing but new plans to loot the people. Let Mr Rahul Gandhi who calls BJP leaders as looters understand looters in his own party government loot in the state and give it to central leaders. Leaders of both Congress and BJP are involved in the game of looting. After killing the institution of Lokayukta, they now talking about strengthening it. They did not fill vacant government jobs in past five years, and they promising about creation of new jobs.”
