Watch your time, speaker P Sreeramakrishnan tells MLAs

Thiruvananthapuram: Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan has urged the MLAs to adhere to time limits of assembly speeches so that the proceedings won't lag too much. The proceedings, which normally start by 8.30 am, should not go beyond 1.30 pm, he suggested. The presentation of adjournment motion notice should not go beyond 30 minutes and the entire zero hour that begins by 9.30 am, should finish before 10.30 am, he added.He has also urged the MLAs to watch out their time for discussions and if even one minute is exceeded, the next MLA would be invited for discussions. Ministers and parliamentary party leaders would get a relaxation on this limit, he said.
