I'm committed to welfare: N Chandrababu Naidu
The CM visited the groundnut fields at Gunduvaripalle in Amadagur mandal in the district on Sunday to assess the severity of drought.
Anantapur: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated that he never committed any mistakes and needed to fear none.
“I haven’t feared Naxalites. I faced 24 probes but none them were proved during the Congress regime,” Mr Naidu said, reacting to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s comments over the CM’s failure to get special category status for AP.
The Chief Minister visited the groundnut fields at Gunduvaripalle in Amadagur mandal in the district on Sunday to assess the severity of drought.
He interacted with farmers and also checked out the functioning of rain guns.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu made it clear that he had no need to fear anybody in future too as he was committed to the welfare of the state.
After announcing round-the-clock power supply, the Chief Minister said that the government was committed to save groundnut crop in the region, particularly in Anantapur district.
“An IAS officer would be deputed to each Assembly constituency besides a special officer for each mandal, to save crop by using rain guns,” he announced.
He also said that the maximum number of rain guns would be used to save crops in the district, sprinkling water over at least one lakh acre every day.
The Andrha Pradesh government would also provide subsidy of 80 per cent to the farmers to make use of rain guns to sprinkle water for existing crops.
