Centre's full support' to Andhra Pradesh for Amaravati, says Arun Jaitley

Rayapudi (GUNTUR district): Union minister Arun Jaitley on Friday announced full support of the BJP-led Union government to the TD-led government of AP for construction of Amaravati.

Responding to requests of Amaravati capital region farmers, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Tadikonda MLA T. Sravan Kumar on exemption of capital gains tax on the sale of lands of the pooled farmers, he assured reviewing the appeal after returning to Delhi.

Mr Jaitley laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Amaravati administrative complex (Amaravati Government Core Capital) on the outskirts of Rayapudi on the banks of the Krishna River on Friday with Union minister for urban development M. Venkaiah Naidu.

Addressing a public meeting later, Mr Jaitley said that the Centre was fulfilling all promises made to AP during bifurcation and said that this would continue.
