Rahul Gandhi more open to meet, say Congress cadre
Congress minority cell president Sajid Khan offered him a datti skull camp which he accepted.
Adilabad: The Congress cadre feels that party president Rahul Gandhi has become more accessible, unlike in the past. During his recent visit here, he freely interacted with supporters.
Congress Seva Dal leader Embadi Rajeshwar of Nirmal saluted Mr Gandhi and shook his hands even as SPG security personnel stood around at Bhainsa recently. Such interactions were not possible earlier.
Mr Rajeshwar said he was very happy that Mr Gandhi had not only recognised their services to the party but also thanked Seva Dal leaders for making the party meetings a success.
Some leaders got an opportunity to pose for pictures with Mr Gandhi when they visited Delhi to submit a memorandum seeking recognition to their services to the party.
At the Bhainsa meeting, Mr Gandhi was seen accepting greetings from lower rank leaders and also party kanduvas gifted by them, a datti (Imam-e-Zamin) tied to his arm and a topi from Muslim leaders. Congress minority cell president Sajid Khan offered him a datti skull camp which he accepted.
Mr Gandhi also prevented his security personnel from asking Congress spokesperson Dasoju Sravan Kumar to leave the stage at Kamareddy, pointing out that he was translating the speech.
