Won’t topple BSY govt when state is facing floods: HD Kumaraswamy
Kumaraswamy, however, made it clear that he has no soft corner for the BJP.
Hubballi: Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said that he will not make any attempt to topple the BJP government in the state when people are reeling under severe floods. Addressing the media here on Monday after touring flood affected Belagavi district, he said that it is not good to go for mid-term elections at this juncture. On whether JD(S) will support the BJP government after the December by-elections, he said that he will take a stance when such a situation arises and if the state government collapses. However he will not criticise the government as it needs to be provided some time to take up flood relief measures apart from some guidance, he said
Kumaraswamy, however, made it clear that he has no soft corner for the BJP. “I have been fighting for the cause of the people and will support those who work for them. I have a soft corner for farmers, not for BJP government. I never said I would join hands with the BJP,” he added. Taking a dig at former CM Siddaramaiah without naming him, he claimed that some leaders were waiting for him to bring down the government so that they could come to power again after fresh elections.
