BCs Given Priority in Welfare and Politics: Deputy CM
Proddatur: Focusing on the commitment of YSR Congress government towards social justice, Deputy Chief Minister S.B. Amzath Basha underlined that backward classes have been given enhanced representation in the Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet and nominated posts.
Basha participated in the social empowerment bus yatra by YSRC in Proddatur of Kadapa district, along with Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Mastan Rao, former minister Anil Kumar Yadav, Proddatur MLA Rachamallu Shivaprasad Reddy and Kurnool MLA Hafeez Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Mastan Rao praised Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his government's unwavering commitment to Dalit welfare.
Hafeez Khan said the egalitarian approach of the CM has ensured uplift of individuals regardless of their caste, creed or community. He said he is proud of becoming an MLA from a minority group during Jagan's tenure.
Shivaprasad Reddy hailed the Chief Minister for making a reality the longstanding aspirations of social justice among backward classes. "With direct benefit transfer of approximately Rs 2.38 lakh crore to women's bank accounts, impoverished families can now educate their children without plunging into debt," he remarked.
