Jagan's Samajika Bus Yatra targeting Opposition parties, getting \"good\" response
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s brainchild, the YSR Congress Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra, is yielding “good response” across districts, the party leaders have claimed.
The Yatra is meant to explain to the people the good done by the party’s government to the public for the past 53 months. The idea is also to counter the Nijam Gelavali Yatra of the Telugu Desam and activate the YSRC rank and file.
The chief minister had said that the priority given to the SC, ST, BC and minority communities by the YSRC government was unprecedented not only in the history of AP but also of the country. Ministers, legislators and leaders are leading the Bus Yatras.
Last year, the Samajika Nyaya Bheri-Jayaho Jagananna Bus Yatra was held for four days from May 26 to 29 on the completion of three years of the YSRC government. The TD is conducting a series of protests since the day of arrest of Nara Chandrababu Naidu. These included the Nijam Gelavali Yatra of Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of the TD chief, and the start of the Bhavishyattuku Guarantee Yatra of Lokesh.
In this context, the chief minister decided to send his party leaders to the masses, explaining the good done to the public under the Bus Yatra. The Bus Yatra will continue for two months, also countering Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s Varahi yatra.
Social welfare minister Merugu Nagarjuna, animal husbandry and fisheries minister Seediri Appalaraju, minority welfare minister Amzath Basha, and tribal welfare minister Rajanna Dora said the response to the Bus Yatra was “huge” in the three regions of AP in the past three days.
Minister Nagarjuna said all the foundations of Chandrababu Naidu’s empire stood on the four pillars of corruption, backbiting, management of the systems and trading of lies.
Appalaraju said the TD was making full use of many former “yellow brothers and sisters” in the BJP to manipulate the systems and alleged that Daggubati Purandeswari was a “systems management” expert.
“Purandeswari is directly supporting the one who backstabbed her father (NTR). Now Purandeswari has made the BJP an affiliate of her and Chandrababu’s family. It is up to the BJP to decide whether they can keep a selfish woman who runs politics for Lokesh and Chandrababu rather than for Amit Shah, Narendra Modi and the BJP,” he said.
Ministers Amzath Basha and Rajanna Dora said that the Bus Yatra was helping them explain the good the present state government did to the public. The Bus Yatra will be held in three regions n-- Paduru, Denduluru and Udayagiri -- on Monday.
