Lokesh Seeks Scam Evidence
Lokesh alleged that to keep the former CM Naidu in jail, the state government is spending crores on lawyers
Kakinada: Telugu Desam national general-secretary N. Lokesh dared state government to show at least a shred of evidence against his father and imprisoned former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam case.
He spoke to the media after calling on Chandrababu Naidu along with his mother Bhuvaneswari on Saturday. He maintained that despite lack of evidence, his father has been kept in prison for 50 days now, with the court reserving its judgment in the 17-A petition.
Lokesh maintained that the government has not been able to show any evidence in skill development, inner ring road, fibre net or fibre grid projects. He accused the YSRC leaders of manipulating all systems to do injustice to Chandrababu Naidu. He pointed out that the YSRC leaders have made statements that his father would die in prison and his mother would also be jailed.
The TD leader said previously, there had been political vengeance. But now, YSRC is indulging in vindictive politics against individuals. In support of his accusation, he pointed out that jail authorities had initially recommended cataract surgery for Chandrababu Naidu’s second eye. But after police exerted pressure on jail doctors, they have changed the report saying no immediate surgery is required.
Lokesh alleged that to keep the former CM in jail, the state government is spending crores on lawyers. A Supreme Court lawyer has been asking for adjournment frequently to delay bail to Chandrababu Naidu.
The TD national general-secretary said he would not run away from the AP CID and has answered all questions it has asked him.
