Dissidence in TRS comes out open in Uppal

Hyderabad: Infighting in the Uppal TRS came out in open with party Cherlapally corporator Bonthu Sridevi, the wife of former GHMC mayor Bonthu Rammohan, alleging that Uppal MLA Bethi Subhash Reddy, who also belongs to the ruling party, was humiliating her and had hatched a conspiracy to kill her.

Sridevi burst into tears while addressing a press meet at Cherlapally accusing the MLA of inaugurating a dhobi ghat in her division on Monday without notice. She said that MLA was discriminating against her division by not sanctioning funds or projects or schemes. He was extending the benefits, including Aasara pensions and Dalit Bandhu, to the remaining five divisions in the constituency.

"I am not being invited to any official programme in my division. Even if I go there on my own, the MLA is ignoring and insulting me by not giving me any opportunity to speak. I represent the backward classes. He is hurling caste abuses at me," Sridevi alleged.

The MLA denied the allegations. "Recently, CM KCR announced that all MLAs will be given tickets. polls. Unable to digest this and frustrated over not getting party ticket to her husband, Sridevi is enacting dramas to defame me. I never abused or threatened her. I challenge her to release the proof she has," Subhash Reddy said.

BJP senior leader Ravula Ramnath was also present on the occasion.
