'Silent wave' is always against the govt, Revanth tells KTR
Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy ridiculed BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao's contention that there was a 'silent wave' in favour of BRS, which will ensure 90-plus seats for the ruling party in the Assembly elections.
In an informal chat with media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Reddy said that Rao's comments prove his political ignorance as whenever 'silent waves' were witnessed in any state, it was always against the ruling parties but never in their favour.
He expressed confidence that Congress will secure a bumper majority by winning over 80 seats. He reiterated that he was ready for any punishment if the party gets even 79 seats. He stated that farmers, women, government employees and youth were furious at the BRS government, which has only deceived them in the last nine years.
Nearly 40 lakh students, youth and unemployed, who are registered with TSPSC, are enough to dethrone the BRS government, the Congress leader said.
"The BRS government cheated farmers on crop loan waiver scheme and rythu bandhu, cheated women by not clearing Rs 4,500 crore arrears of women self-help groups and took youth and students for a ride by not filling government job vacancies and cheated government employees by not clearing DA. All these sections have been waiting for November 30 to teach a fitting lesson to BRS," Revanth Reddy said.
