Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman on Wednesday announced that the party would fight politically and judicially against the ruling TRS party‘s “unholy practice” in snatching away two coveted posts at Thukkuguda Municipality.

Addressing a gathering at Srinagar village in Thukkuguda, Dr Laxman said that the TRS had violated democratic norms in grabbing chairman and vice-chairman posts of this municipality in spite of the fact that BJP won nine of the 15 seats for a clear majority in the municipality.

He said that the party would meet Governor Dr Tamilsai Soundarajan on Thursday and appraise her about the ruling party’s illegal practices and irregularities during municipal elections.

He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) was unable to digest the victory of BJP in municipal elections and had adopted backdoor tactics to usurp control on municipalities.

Stating that BJP had won the moral battle, Dr Laxman said people of the state are looking towards Thukkuguda municipality after the development where ruling party indulged in undemocratic and unconstitutional practices.
